How to install the Minecraft Forge API Mod for Minecraft 1.8/1.7.4/1.7.2/1.6.4
- Download Forge below
- Right click the installer.jar (it’s from the official forge website, it should work
- Hover over “Open With”
- If you see “Java Platform(TM) SE Binary” click that, if not continue down
- Check the Install bubble and hit the OK button
INSTALLATION FROM STEP 4
- Click Choose default program
- Click Browse
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre#\bin
- Select the java application (java.exe)
- You should see “Java Platform(TM) SE Binary” in the Open With menu now
- Click that and follow step 5 of the first part of the install guide
